Not the beer for the faint hearted: Golden in colour this beer looks sufficiently innocent - but it is spicy, very spicy. Little does the nose (with just a hint of cooked vegetable) warn you of the stinging bite the chilli peppers add to this full bodied lager. The effect of capsicin - the active substance in chilli - cools you off in summer and heats you up in winter. While many believe it takes a strong man not to cry when consuming this unusual beer it turns out to be popular with ladies too. With those who are hot, very hot.

Pours almost completely clear pale yellow color, topped with a decent white head. Not much to the aroma, malty mostly some very mild tabasco aroma. Taste starts with a bit of sweetness, followed by an extra hot chili taste that burns really good. Lots of hot chili, didn’t expect this from a beer. Excellent, love it.

Tapped at the brewhouse. Jackpot! A mind blowing chilli beer with all its flavor frm hell. Burns like crazy and I like that! However I expected this beer would hurt and I would scream for water but no, not with this delicacy. Each sip makes me want to drink even more! The chilli aroma and flavor are just superb! An excellent brew no doubt.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2014 0,5l pullo Wienistä. Väri lähes kirkas kullankeltainen. Haisee puhdistusaineelle. Maistuu myös puhdistusaineelle. Polttaa kovasti lopussa. Todella pahaa.

50 cl bottle.
Pours hazy color with a mild head. Fruity and malty, nothing more, too herbal. Herbal and grassy, mild spice notes, crap. I’ve tasted better chilli beers.

500 ml bottle. Thanks rosenbergh. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow colour with a small head. Aroma of sweet fresh green jalapenos, spiciness, pepper and grass. Flavour of grainy malts, bread, very aggressive peppery spiciness, raw jalapeno, grass and some green vegetables. Very spicy, but the chili notes are rather subtle. It’s more of an overly spicy beer. Lingering spicy finish. Heat builds nicely towards the end. Unique. It’s heavy but you will like it.

Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma of wet malt, yeast and some vegetables. Flavour is sweet at first seconds but then the quite green chilli burn begins. Long aftertaste. Bit watery but there definitely is chilli in this one.
