Ungstrup (11692), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 26, 2007 A yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chili, but also with notes of malt and yeast. The flavor though is something different - it is one of the strongest chili experiences I’ve ever had it burns the mouth and the throat - it seem as if somebody put Tabasco sauce in my beer - though the color suggests something else. Just too much for me. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 18, 2004 Sampled draught at the brewpub.
Clear golden with lasting airy head. Tabasco aroma. Burning chili flavour. All there is in way of malt is hidden behind a wall of fire. This beer made me thirsty... joergen (6814), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 25, 2007 Draught at the brewpub.
Hazy amber coloured with a white head.
Sweet aroma of malts and caramel with notes of pepper.
Burning flavour of chilipepper, malts and caramel.
Burning finish.
The chili pepper is too dominating. MiP (6289), Flensburg, Germany Nov 27, 2008 Draught, 5.1% at the brewpub. Hazy dark yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is chili all the way through from the first sensation to the long burning aftertaste. Very hot, must be the hottest chili beer I ever had. Burns my throat. Too much. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 20, 2007 A light haze veils the bubbly golden straw body. Small white head. Unagressive nose with green pepper notes and general spiciness, but not very substancial. Tzatziki/cucumber creaminess feels mild and original. In mouth, the story is different. It packs quite a fire, but there’s nothing behind. A simple golden ale with little body, so you have the almost burning chilli that dominates completely and never meets a match. Drank slowly, so it worked okay, but I would never order a second glass.
