fichtenelch (2), Austria does not count May 3, 2007 caramel, herbs, golden, surprisingly hot chilli taste but drinkable, tastes great along with food or after eating Geiserich (1555), Vienna, Austria Apr 7, 2005 Draught at the brewpub

Aroma is malty, fruity, with hot notes of chillies. Soft creamy head., light golden hazy color. First sweet and malty, fruitiness, then light hot, getting always hotter to a hot chilli feeling and a long hot finish. Unusual, for chilli lovers, for me just now and then. DenverLogan (421), Oceanside, California, USA Jun 16, 2006 I had this June 11th. Huge chili-tabasco flavor; wild and fun in the mouth but quite tasty; nice subtle sweetness; big bite at the end. Comparable with the best chili beer in the SW United States. It was also listed as 4.7 abv for my visit. ogivlado (2478), Zagreb, Croatia Sep 7, 2008 swing top bottle (500ml).-courtesy of and shared with Doggythedog (thanks!)
My second Austrian chilli beer. Cloudy yellow/pale orange coloured (similar to Hanf), medium sized white head, dusty, light peppery nose. Bready, light malty and hoppy with sharp chili taste. Burning lingering notes in the throat and long lasting aftertaste. Uhhh, I love chilli. Decent chilli beer, but I still prefer Dombräu Chili. asheft (1017), Marburg, Germany Jul 29, 2007 [on tap at brewpub]
Though they cannot spell "Chili", they can make a good chili beer. Fruity aroma with strawberry and pear and pine notes. Almost clear, light amber with patchy, bubbly head. Sort of steam beer-like before a blast of jalapeño spice. I wish the pepper flavour come out more and not just the spiciness. Light body, moderate carbonation, and spicy finish.
