Aroma has vanilla, citrus, grassy hops and some alty notes. Flavour has citrus, some grassy notes, honey and malt. Syrupy feeling here. Not your typical märzen – feels like a Danish microbrewerys attempt to do a märzen which ends up something close to a brown ale.

At the Brewpub. Light haze on this deep amber beer. Good off white head. Light palate, softish. Sweet honey nutty malt. Trace of dried fruits. Finishes with creamy malt and mild minerals. Well joined up if a bit dry.

Dark red brown with fluffy beige head. Noble hop bitter tang on a rich malt background but still the metallic flecked cardboard at the back of the palate I associate with most beers of this style.

Tap at 7 Stern. It pours hazy deep orange with a thick off-white head. The nose is dough, cake, spice, herbal, light orange and peach. The taste is dough, faint spice, sponge cake, herbal notes, nut, light toast, metallic and orange peel with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A tasty Märzen. Definitely one of 7 Stern’s best.

Tap @ Brewpub, Vienna. Day 1 RBESG 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy head and lacings. Yeast, grain and fruit. Bitter and dry. Medium bodied.

RBESG 2012 - day 1. Hazy amber with a lasting white head. Grainy malty aroma with a touch of toffee. Sweetish malty flavour with toffee and bread, along with a fruity touch and a decent hoppy finish

RBESG ’12, Vienna. On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy amber colour, white head. Aroma of caramel, light toast. Flavour is light sweet, toasted malts, caramel, light roasted bitter light herbal finish. Light-bodied. OK stuff.

Tap @ brewery during RBESG 2012. A bit hazy, colorful orange appearance with a cream colored head. Rich, slightly burnt, toasty caramel malty aroma. Light fruity, rich caramel malty, herbal, grainy flavor.

Reddish orange, small bubbly white head. Light fruity, apricots, tea, candy sugar. Light sweet, nice balance. Drinkable and tasteful. what’s not to like?
