Siebenstern’s interpretation of the Märzen - style is a rare example of the Viennesse lager beer invented in the 1840s by the innovative brewer Anton Dreher: Amber to red in colour with a creamy head it features a malty nose and a hearty flavour resembling walnuts and sponge cake. This medium bodied beer is hoppy and well balanced. It finishes surprisingly dry.

Hm... igazi napindító selymesség, az ember egyből érzi, hogy külhonba tévedt, és nem pancsolt sört kap maga elé. Viva Anton!

Tap @ brewpub, 06/04/14. The amber color of a märzen. Aroma is caramelly with quite a bit of grass. Taste is dry, not the too sweet that usually plagues the style. Grass, but also bready, somewhat caramelly maltiness. Herbal and grassy. Good palate.

Appearance: lightly hazed mahogany with ruby edges, and a creamy lighty beige head that leaves average lacing. Aroma: sweet, toasty caramel, light roasted nuts, brown bread. Taste: as the aroma indicated. Finish: smooth, clean, with wonderful lingering sweet toasted malts. Notes: Fantastic example of the style, brought back from Vienna in a really cool one liter swingtop.

Bottle, shared by Anki. Thanks! Amber with a small white head. Citrus and faint malt to the nose. Taste has malt, citrus and faint bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, dry mouth feel. Dry after taste.

Draught @ 7Stern. Clear, dark amber colour, short-life medium head, malty and fruity aroma, medium body, smooth fizziness, sweet caramel taste, hoppy dry palate. Nice one.

Bottle. Light amber, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweet aroma, caramel - some toffee, some floral fruitiness.. Body is medium, malty and caramel sweet flavor, some floral fruitiness Finish is average, malty and caramel sweetish, some fruitiness and light bread. Caramel sweetish märzen - way too sweet for me.
