2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Leighton (6945) - London, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2013
Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London. Thanks to Paul. Pours clearish, light gold with a creamy, white foam head. Sweet malt nose, light spices, faintly tangy fruits. Light sweet flavor with more tangy fruits, faint hay. Light bodied with high carbonation. Tangy finish, some berries, sharp bread. Not in top form - as with most beers from this brewery when bottled.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FatPhil (7496) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 11, 2013
500ml bottle (Snow@ChrisO)
A bit stodgy. Full smoothg and soft palate, a bit yeast (I got the final pour from the bottle). Grains are certainly pleasant though, and it’s not saying 6%, that’s well hidden. Not quite bocky enough for me.

Draught at brewpub. Dark hazy amber-brown with a healthy, dense foamy head. Very slight buttery diacetyl sting, spicy caramel, red fruit on the nose too. Nice thick oily feel, sweet toffee syrup, bread dough, touch of spice, softest peppery bitterness, warming booze finish. Not bad.

Tap at 7 Stern. It pours cloudy golden amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is unfortunately diacetyl, buttered white toast, dough, spice and candy. The taste is toast, spice, caramel, dough, subtle butter, decent bitterness, orange peel, tangy citrus, varnish and alcohol warmth. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Tastes good, but a big shame about the diacetyl.... Will try to re-rate.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 heavy (1956) - Split, CROATIA - JUN 20, 2012
09/12 Another Marko’s 0.5l bottle, great thanks for sharing! It poured copper body with medium sized head. Sweet biscuit aroma, nice. Sweetish malt flavor, well balanced with bitter herbal hops, as it gets warmer it becomes even better and showed more malty characteristics like raisins and toffee. Medium to full bodied. Long, caramel and biscuit finish. A nice Christmas beer for sure!
