imdownthepub (4247), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Dec 18, 2004 Updated: Dec 19, 2004 On tap at 7SternBrau, Wien (with Geiserich). Red Amber beer with lasting Head. This is their Christmas beer and it is a bit of a warmer, crisp rounded dry malts and heavy hopping, some spiciness with a peppery and fruity finish. My beer of Austria so far, beautifully brewed, a very decent beer.
Rune (1839), Tromsø, Norway Dec 26, 2007 Updated: Mar 7, 2008300m vom Fass at the brewpub in Vienna, and a 500ml swingtop bottle (bb.31.12.07) brought home to Tromsø and enjoyed as a partner to late lunch on Boxing day. Slightly unclear, amber body with a thin, lasting head. Aroma is sweet milky and malty. The dominant flavours are puddingy almond supported by vanilla, butter, and light caramel. Dry hopped ending. Rounded palate (02.12 and 26.12.2007). JorisPPattyn (4638), Antwerpen, Belgium Dec 22, 2007 Stupendously huge, very fine & dense yellow head; hazy yellow-amber beer. Almonds, waffles with syrup, vanilla, quite sweet smelling, spicy bread. BItterish-lined cake, orange, orange peel. Sweet impression, but overwhelmed by the bitterish(even hoppy)-fruity flavours. This is great and perfect balance. Nutmeg & cinnamon retronasal. Well bodied, slick, but without any viscosity. Excellent Bock! Thank you very much for following my instructions, Dean!! ;^} ogivlado (2478), Zagreb, Croatia Dec 19, 2007 Rating No.1900
