Poured a misty apricot-golden colour with a medium-big sized thick white head that went away slow. The nose was... odd. Rice crackers. The taste was a huge letdown. Rie crispies & hay. Almost nothing else. Weak, kinda odd hopiness, some weak malt presence. Blah. Not impressive at all. A bad batch? I sure hope so because this is dull and definitely not what I expected from the brewer of that great Rauchbier. 5/3/4/2/9

At the Brewpub. Hazy gold beer, decent white head. Crispy palate, semi dry. Mild minerals. Nutty malt, malt cream. Semi dry finish. A little bland but fresh.

Tap at 7 Stern. It pours hazy yellow with a medium white head. The nose is dough, white bread, faint spice, grass and some icing sugar. The taste is grass, dough, flour, light spice, earth, pithy citrus, lemon and lime with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A decent helles.

(Tap) Es ist Hellgelb, unfiltriert mit einer weißen Schaumkrone. Das Aroma ist süß, karamellig und leicht würzig. Der Geschmack ist vollmundig, leicht getreidig, süß, würzig, spritzig und bitter.

Bottle from brewpub. Slightly hazy golden colour, thick soapy frothy white head fades to a loose cap. Pronounced Saaz spice on the nose, hint of sulphur, straw, dry grass. Soft biscuity malts, some lemon freshness, barest hint of caramel sweetness, big dry lager malts, white pepper and a touch of lemon bitterness in a soft dry finish. Not bad.

Tap @ Brewpub, Vienna. Day 1 RBESG 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Fresh straw, grain and hay. A bit of sulphur. Smooth and dry. Nice.

19/07 On tap at the brewpub as Weener Helles :) It poured hazy yellow body with medium sized head. Crisp lemon hop and hay malty aroma. Weak, a bit sweet bready flavor spiced up with nice herbal hops. Not robust in body, rather light and refreshing with long, slightly bitter finish. Decent helles, but could have been better.

RBESG ’12, Vienna. On tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden coloured swampy, light malty and light bitter beer. Light-bodied. Not a fan.

Tap @ brewery during RBESG 2012. A little hazy, golden appearance with a white head and nice lacing. Grainy, rich straw, fairly bitter floral hoppy aroma. Rich pale malty, a bit soapy/floral hoppy, straw flavor.

Clean unfiltered pilsner yellow. Straightforward aroma, bit herbal and medicinal. Medium body. Light bitter. Forgettable.
