harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 31, 2006 Very tasty but very thin, with a slick and very light mouthfeel. Creamy and full of some dark chocolate and roasty coffee, but has some hints of french silk pie, very smooth and creamy, just could use more body. Dogbrick (2348), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 9, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. Pours flat black with a medium thick light tan head that diminishes slowly. Patches of lace on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee, along with a touch of dark chocolate. Medium, smooth body with roasted malt and hops flavors. Some coffee and dark fruit is present too. The finish is short and roasty with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. PhillyBeer2112 (1887), Orange Park, Florida, USA Feb 18, 2003 Very dark black with a thin bubbly head that faded quickly. Very light chocolate aroma. Surprisingly watery mouthfeel, with a definite iced coffee flavor and body. It smooths out towards the end, but remains lacking in the body and flavor one expects in an oatmeal stout. Indra (1873), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Feb 19, 2003 Faint aroma, but with some dark chocolate sweetness and coffee. Dark, opaque ebony color, rather slight head. Roasted and toasty malt flavors here, espresso, cream, dark chocolate, oat silkiness, light plummy fruitiness...possibly the most complex 75th St. beer I've sampled to date. Finishes with a light, chocolate syrupy sweetness. Medium body and low carbonation, smooth. Surprisingly tasty. I may even pick up a jug of this stuff before it goes away... tjthresh (1348), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Mar 31, 2007 10 ounce serving. Black with a thick brown head. Coffee, chocolate, and oats. in the aroma and flavor. A bit on the watery side. Good, but pretty basic.
