Indra (1818), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA May 31, 2006 This is a Maibock, and not a weak one at that. Served in an 8oz. snifter on draught. Sweet and mildly fruity aroma, some apple, pear and white grape to go along with the strongly sugary maltiness, which also contributes hints of pale, toasty grain. Hazy medium-dark orange-red color, head is white and very fine. Flavor profile is quite sweet and sugary throughout, only lightly accented with spicy hoppiness, cidery notes and more pear and white grape fruit juice late. Fairly hot on the palate, although this is early and not lingering much. Some peppery notes detected, finishing sweet and bready.Texture is highly effervescent and lightly syrupy. Somewhat interesting, ultimately.
