2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Pawola22 (3090) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 20, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazed golden yellow colored body with a finger-width, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is grainy, floral crackers and wheat with a good amount of dry cardboard. A hint of lemon-grass too. Flavor is a bit better, but similar. Grainy wheats with a light lemon-grass before some dry crackers come in. Finishes with less cardboard than the aroma and completely dries with a trace of straw bitterness. Short aftertaste following a light body and carbonation. Overall, a bland wheat beer. Somewhat watery at times, but the flavor was better than the cardboard aroma. Eh...

Tap @ 75th Street. Light haze, yellow golden color. Bright white head. Flavor is a very bready wheat malt. Liquid puffed wheat. Awesome. Hint of munich malts. Very well balanced with a noble hop character. Finishes bready and earthy. Has a grainy aroma. Deep malted scent.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 4, 2008
Overall this is pretty one dimensional and boring. Some light cereal graininess, with a small does of lemon acidity. I mean its neutral to the point of almost having no flavor at all. Why even bother making beer, if this is the kind of crap you are going to turn out.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dogbrick (6014) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 9, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a hazy yellow-amber color with a medium thin and foamy ivory white head that diminishes slowly. Wheat and bready malt in the nose. Light, smooth body with mild wheat and malt flavors with a bit of floral hops. The finish is short and wheaty with touches of sweet fruit in the aftertaste. Overall this is a by-the-numbers affair.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Gregis (1270) - Shawnee, Kansas, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Pours a hazy yellow/straw with a frothy white head. The nose is quite muted with just the faintest wheat note and not much more. Light and thin, soft and clean with a slightly dry finish. The flavor is about as neutral as a beer can be, with faint wheat and water fronting the show. This beer is the liquid equivalent of plain rice cakes; a beer for non-beer drinkers. Completely inoffensive and just as exciting.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 vyvvy (3222) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - APR 19, 2007
Pours lightly hazy yellow with a white head. Very light aroma with some wheat sweetness. Medium / light body that is very smooth and lush for the style with some semi-sharp carbonation. The tastes are subdued, but has more dryness than most wheats with light spices and a touch of sweetness. The finish has more of a spicy hop presence than most wheats. Nice job.
