Tap at Blue Moose. Straight forward amber ale. Taste malt, little bit of silkiness in the end. Not too serious, but went nice with my burger.

Sampled on draft at 75th Street in KC. Pours clear, amber-brown with a thick white head and nice lacing. Aroma is one-dimensional: caramel malts. Flavor is slightly bitter with notes of plum. Good malt backbone. Quite clean and dry. Medium-bodied and lightly carboanted. A solid Irish-style ale.

Good amber ale. Nothing spectacular. They also serve this exact beer at Fenton’s and call it Fenton’s Aviator Amber Ale. It’s an average to above average amber ale with a little hoppiness to it. Slight citrus flavor to it makes it an enjoyable brew.

Very fine carbonation and head. Hazy orange-red color. Caramel malt aroma, with a tad of hops. Flavor is mostly sweet, caramel-apple maltiness, but there are some earthy hops for balance’s sake. Light bodied. Some citrus and apricot are apparent here, too. Long finish. Very odd gaseous nasal passage-filling sensation, I suppose this is the carbonation? Most unusual effect.
