Nice amber color, small off white head that had a decent hang time and managed to leave a decent lace behind. The aroma was malty and lightly citrus, with a mild hop presence.I like this brew, malty flavor with a nice citrus taste and just a bit of a tangy sensation coming from it as well. The hops are nicely done with just enough to make it interesting.A very nice and very drinkable brew
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 4, 2008
Pours a darker reddish burnt auburn color, with frothy rocky head that dissipates pretty quickly. Pretty straight forward here, not suprisingly complex, just simple and drinkable. Lots of ample roastiness and some spicy hopsm turning dry in the finish, with just a hint of dried fruit.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 theisti (2843) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - MAR 27, 2008
Pint draft at the Blue Moose, Prairie Village, Kansas. Pour is orange-amber, with a bit of haziness initially which cleared fast. About a one inch, dirty snow white head. Aroma of mostly malts, biscuity and pretty fresh smelling. Taste was straight forward and enjoyable. Mostly the malt, with a bit of dried fruit in the middle, and a decent bitter finish. Overall, a very drinkable beer, though nothing really jumps out at you. I had the first few pints off a fresh keg, and that may have helped a lot on this one.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dogbrick (6178) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 9, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a mostly clear copper-amber color with a medium light beige head. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is fruity malt with a touch of hops. Medium, smooth body with flavors of earthy malt and light fruity undertones. Slight hops presence as well. The finish is short and malty with a lightly bitter hops aftertaste. Just average.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gregis (1271) - Shawnee, Kansas, USA - JUN 7, 2007
Pours a clear copper with a slight, off-white head. The nose is of sweet malts with a light hop background. Light in the mouth and effervescent, the flavor is sweet caramel malts up front with a crisp lightly bitter finish. A decent amber and a nice partner to pub fare.
