COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium-bodied ale that has been hopped more to the extreme. This beer has a copper hue and a noticeable floral aroma. Our I.P.A. is brewed in the tradition of 18th century English-style pale ales. Traditionally, these ales were brewed with extra hops, (a natural preservative) to allow the beer to endure its long journey from England to India, around the Cape of Good Hope.

On tap at the 75th Street brewpub in KC. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange body with a finger-width, dense, beige, long-lasting head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet caramels and orange citrus. Lots of floral and earthy hops and a good amount of sweet malts to back it up. Flavor is similar. Maybe not quite as malty as it should be, but not bad. Lots of heavy hop taste that leaves a good aftertaste. Palate is medium bodied and tended to feel thin as it warmed a little. Overall, a good IPA from a cool brewpub. Lots of hops and a decent amount of malts to balance. Straightforward, but solid.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was hazy dark amber with a light off white head. The aroma was strong oranges with some caramel. The taste was rich oranges with some light black pepper. Overall, this is a solid entry.

Light copper body with eggshell white head. More pine than grapefruit aroma and flavor. Malt seems absent. Very mediocre beer.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy, dark gold. Nose is soapy, moderately hoppy, fuzzy. Taste is nicely hopped and spicy, with a nice malt background. Very smooth, balanced, and drinkable. Almost cask-style carbonation. Solid, traditional IPA.

Buttery IPA. Little hop aroma. Bitter. But missing overall qualities of a solid IPA. Very mediocre.

Shared a couple pints at the brew pub with Grant. Fruity and floral nose. The flavor was very round - sweet and floral hoppy. No hop bite however.

6oz sample glass at the brewpub. The beer pours with a dark orange color and a sticky lacing. Its basically a lightly tea and lightly sweet hop brew. Nice medium body to go along with it. A light-medium bitter finish. Out of the regular offerings I tried this was the best.

Decent IPA, pours a really nice golden color with a bit of cloudy head that thins out within a couple of minutes. Herbal and piney hops in the nose, but this one has an ample malt backbone, that lends some nice balance to the agressive hoppiness. Pretty good, finishes extremely dry and bitter.
