On tap at the brewpub. pours reddish orange with a small off-white head. The aroma is, honest to God, perfume. Sweet, aromatic, maybe some citrus undertones. Taste is sweet malt, very big. Almost some dopplebock flavors. Besides the malty sweetness there is not a ton going on. The finish is aromatic. Moderately large body. Nice, but certainly not great.

Fairly slight, sweet, malty aroma with light background notes of berry, pear, citrus and bready, lightly toasty and toffeeish malt and gentle hop spice. Perhaps a lot going on but faintly. Deep, clear red in color with a fine, creamy and lasting head. Sweet, spicy flavor profile, sugary and fruity once again, finishing lightly bitter with some light cinnamon, orange, apple and lingering sweetness. Slightly sticky medium body, but somehow a bit thin, also. Interesting, kind of.

Looks great. Copper, red, with yellow hues. Creamy head. No visable carbonation. Then a sniff. Blah. This thing is full of diacctyl. When I first whiffed it, I thought it was just lots of cara-malts. Nope. No hops. Hardly any bitterness. Stay away.

This was a dark amber glass. The nose is alcoholy-potent with brown sugar, molasses and burnt grape. Good, but too heavy for a hot June afternoon.
