argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Sep 22, 2002 Very dark brown with creamy beige head. The pour leaves a "roiling" head, clearly explaining the origin of the name of this beer. Minimal coffee aroma. Mocha flavor that’s very pleasant, not bitter. Creamy and quite smooth. acrdz (4486), Boulder, Colorado, USA May 23, 2004 Deep brown with a dark tan head. Rich and very smoky, but lacking much beyond that. Stale malt flavor behind the smoke and evident very strongly in the finish. Rich coffee nose with some chocolate, very nice. JPDIPSO (4344), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 15, 2003 N2 draught. Dark brown with a small nitro head. Mild chocolate and coffee aroma. Pure mocha flavors. Light and mild. If not for a touch of roasted barley this would be an english mild. heemer77 (3827), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 6, 2006 The body was black with with a thick orange and tan tinted head. The aroma was chocolate with some coffee and some candy corn. The taste was bitter old coffee with some creamer. There was also a little chocolate. This was pretty lame. Braudog (3464), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jun 12, 2005 Solid tan cream top on a black beer. This is very creamy and moderately bitter, mildly sweet wtih a bitter chocolate twist. Above average micro-stout.
