Pour is hazed golden peach with a tight white head. The nose is bright, a bit sweet, lots of dusty leather like bret with a fair bit of fruity fuzzy peach. Taste is a bit more sour than I thought and not as well integrated as the nose. Bret isn’t as dusty but still has its presence, fruity peach, slightly unripened fruit. Light airy body, nice carbonation, very drinkable.

Bottle from adnielsen. Thanks Aaron! Pours a hazy golden color with white head. Tart, funk, citrus, hay aromas. Dry, tart, wet blanket, some oak, citrus, funky flavors. Fuck yeah! I get some oak and some alcohol burn, but not a lot of whiskey.

Non-barrel aged version on tap at southerly love brewfest. Pours a hazy golden yellow with fluffy white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is brett funky earth, hints of citrus and grass. Taste follows, but there is a big alcohol bite behind it. Surprisingly no burn on the way down, nice balance, good carbonation, well done for a high gravity saison.

Bottle split at Black IPA Friday, thanks to Paul, 09/05/14. Hazed orange amber with a moderate off white swirl and spotting. Nose is bitter tangerine, straw, spice, lemon rind, pithy citrics, funky brett. Taste comprises bitter orange, barnyard, brett poo notes, bitter tangerineisms, orange marmalade, light booze streak. Medium bodied, fine carbonation drying brett in the close. Nice brett lead saison.

Leighton 10K tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to the Crab. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and airy with modest fine carbonation. Semi dry. Light floral yeastiness. Mildly tangy sourish fruits - lemon and tangerine. Light spice. Light dry finish. Interesting. Tastes quite strong abv wise.

Bottle @ Chez Bruce. Hazy gold with a small head. Soft lactic sourness. Melon rind. Lemon curd. Dusty yeast. Flavours are pretty oily and sweet. Melon. Hot, almost boozy. Refined sugar. Sme buggy funk. Medium body, oily. OK.

Leighton (11860) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul! Pours lightly hazy yellow with a frothy, white head. The nose has some boozy wood, ripe lemon, subtle wet hay. Medium sweet flavor with juicy melon, ripening citrus, a bit of dry pale wood. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Warming finish with more ripe lemon, faint tartness, soft funk, light bitter straw. The alcohol heat really hangs on. Fair.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s. Batch 3. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is earthŷ, wood, spice, vanilla, coconut, wood and apple pie. The taste is earthy, bretty, pear, apple, candied peel, booze, spice, hay and warming alcohol with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Alright, but boozy.....
