3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the tap room. Hazy pale orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and toasted malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citric hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one poured a light orange color with a white head. Aroma was of earthy and medicinal hops. Flavor was similar, but without the normal soapy character I usually get from amarillos.

Sampled draught as a 4 oz pour at the brewpub on January 19, 2014.
Hazy golden color, off-white head. Hoppy, some garlic, a bit unbalanced scent. Bitter, light hoppy taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium to medium high bitterness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Grainy. Kinda citrusy hop notes. I think this would be much better with more cowbell.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Growler shared by caterwaul. Filled 7-13-13, enjoyed 7-28-13. Mostly hazy golden orange color. Good half-finger thick off-white head. Dots of lace. Medium-plus body. Smooth, light carbonation. Lightly creamy, more dry texture in the finish. Seems like more of a malt-forward flavor, some english type malts. Each sip leaves me wanting some more hop from the finish... Everything else about the brew is fine, but the flavor is a bit of a tease. Kind of herbal and metallic, kind of dank, wet grass clipping aroma. Bigger earthy, medicinal, herbal bitter taste lingers that I’m not crazy about. Hint of apricot, grass in the nose. Interesting, unique pale. But not refreshing or easy drinking. Probably past it’s prime...
