Pour from a one quart growler shared by Paul- thanks again, Paul! Pours a somewhat cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma has a little funk but I got a lot of corny cereal from it, with crackers, bread, grains, and grass. The flavor was basically a less corny version of the same. Light-bodied, with a dry, bready mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not a great saison.

Tap at 7venth Sun. Clear straw pour with thicker, white lacing. Nose is citrus, potpourri, spice adjuncts, orange peel, orange zest/rind. Taste is spicy, soapy, orange peel perfumey. Palate is watery, seltzer.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 Bottle @ Armin’s house. A special thanks to Armin for this bs. A bit hazy golden appearance with a small white head. Huge cooked veggie, DMS, corn holer aroma. Cauliflower, cooked corn, veggie disgusting flavor. This is yet another 7venth Sun that has seemed very infected that others did not note. It makes me wonder if there’s an issue with 7venth Sun’s bottling line. I hate to be the bottom rating on all of these, but they’ve been in very bad shape when Armin and I have tasted them. This was exceptionally infected and undrinkable.

womencantsail (3927) - Home of Rebecca Black, California, USA - APR 29, 2012
A cloudy pale yellow color with a white head. Plenty of yeast and a huge spice aroma, particularly white pepper. A light tartness and quite a bit of lemon zest. A bit of sweet malt aroma in there on the back end. The nose is quite nice, but the flavor is not as enjoyable. A bit weak with some bread sweetness, mild spice, and a hint of lemon.

arminjewell (3096) - Parker, Colorado, USA - APR 17, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2012 Pour out of 12 oz bottle is clear orange with thin white head, aroma brings notes of pineapple, vanilla, some slight grass and earth, touch of slight caramel and a hint of vegetal notes. Taste is a mix of creamed corn, mix of biscuit, lemon, grass, slight pineapple, finishing fairly sweet. The creamed corn is fairly light, but something seems off in general.

Cloudy yellow. Thin head. The aroma is assertively spicy, dry with nice pale malt character. A lot of hops. Refreshing, restorative saison.
