Bottle during RBWG Booze Buse 20/02/15 big thanks to the guys at the brewery for this juan. Black with moderate beige spotting and edgeing. Nose is rich roast, bourbonics, spice, light chocolate notes, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises rich roast, dates, raisens, spice, chocolate, bourbon evident but well integrated, light charr. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Excellent BA impy, masks the ABV well, great balance.

Bottle @ home. Thanks, Jake. Very dark brown pour with a thin khaki head. Lots of graham cracker, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Nice roasted malts, slight bourbon, and a bunch of dark fruits. Tastes a little on the sweet side, but good chocolate and vanilla. Mild roast, some booze, and graham cracker. Nice black cherry, raisin, and oak.

Bottle shared on the bus during RBWG 2015. Pours deep brown with a beige cream head. Rich burnt toast aroma with notes of chocolate and scorched earth. Big sweet flavor with lots of vanilla, chocolate and dark fruits. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good balance on the finish, nice depth, lots of robust chocolate, roast, earth, leathery dark fruits. Excellent.

Ticked on the bus during the rbwg2015 brewery bus tour. White waxed bottle pours with a murky mahogany colored body that supports a tiny tan head. The aroma offers up sweet nectar like currants, some chocolate and dark roasted malts and then faint oak and vanilla. The taste starts smooth and rich with molasses sweetened dark roasted malts, chocolate malts and then nectar sweet malts and sweet red cranberry going to midway. It stays chocolate and booze into the finish. It leaves a warming sensation behind with an after thought of vanilla. Love it.

Bottle tasted during RBWG. Hazy brown color. Thin ring of khaki head, some loose bits of lace. Wonderful bourbon aroma, mild roast, dark chocolate, touch of dark fruit. Bigger body, nice full feel, light slick. Lighter carbonation. Bigger sweet taste, moderate bitterness... Light bit of heat on the end, but it’s very appropriate for the 13% ABV. Awesome stuff.
