Decent brew. It has plenty of booze, caramel, cocoa, roasted barley, but a bit thin and eweak.

On tap at the bottle release. Four Roses barrel. Nose is huge bourbon. Like tons of bourbon. Vanilla and chocolate notes follow up. Wow! Poured a murky dark brown with a little tan head. Taste is big bourbon notes, some vanilla, chocolate, light roast. Very nice. The barrel treatment was down right killer on this one.

Bottke at RBWG. Pours lear red-brown qith a fine, tan cream head. Sugary toasty bred in the nose. Mesium to big sweet flavor with brown sugar, rich bread, candi sugar. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warm finish with some sticky sugars and cheap chocolate.

Bottle from RBGW. Huge whiffs of oak and vanilla. It’s nothing remarkable but a nice example of a BA Impy Porter.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad. The beer appears amber to orange in color, with a thin, wispy head that leaves only sparse lacing on the snifter. The aroma offers oak, wine, tannins, grapes. The flavor is odd and not at all what I expected. Like tannic grape juice, with overabundant barrel character. Really out of kilter, and unrecognizable as a porter. The beer is very smooth on the palate, with low carbonation. Overall, fun to try, but not a repeat. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-04-2012

355ml bottle poured a dark brown color, aromas of coconut, toasted malt, vanilla, toffee, and some coffee. Flavors are the same, lighter on the palate then expected. Flavors blended nicely together, solid beer.

Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head. Metallic nose, overly roasty, some oak, and a bit of chocolate. A little bit of coffee and toffee. A light sweetness on the palate, but mostly just roast. It’s fairly metallic, a little bit of vanilla and oak, maybe a touch of chocolate.
