3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: Dark Brown/Black Hue, Passes No Light, Brownish Head Ring, Mild Lacing
S: Mildly Boozy, Mild Dark Fruit
T: Dark Fruit, Sweet Bread, Mild Oak Flavor
M: Mediocre Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet, mildly Boozy
Overall, I am usually for BA variations that differ from your typical stout but something tells me that the base beer wasnt that good to begin with, then tossed a bad barrel aging in ont top of it. Not for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.
The beer is dark orange to light brown in color with a small, light tan head that leaves sparse lacing on the glass.
The aroma brings wine, port, oak, sweetness, barrels, tannins.
The beer is aggressive and strong, but unrefined and imbalanced, Very tannic, with dominating oak flavors. Some booze notes as well. Dark fruits, to include plums and raisins.
Warming alcohol in the finish with lingering notes of oak.
This one has some potential, but as of now, a small serving was plenty for me.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
355ml bottle shared at Mattís tasting, poured a dark brown color, aromas of light dark fruit, some caramel, and tons of whisky. Flavors are the same, light vanilla thrown in but the whisky is the main flavor, not overpowering but juust enough to warn you that there is some booze here.

7venth sun is spot on with their barrel-aging. I need to find the base for this, Temerity. Barrel adds a sweetness, some raisins, just good stuff. seek this out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brown with an off-white head. Nose is whiskey, lots of whiskey. There is some Temerity in there as well, but this one has huge whiskey. I get hints of sweet malt and some light fruit, but the whiskey is the name of the game here. Flavor is similar- Palm Ridge Reserve. There is some mild fruit and malt in here, but there is a ton of whiskey- the elephant in the room. It is still really enjoyable, but I want to open one in a year or two and see what itís like.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94. Served in a sampler glass. Pours dark brown with a bit of a head. The nose has some fairly-heavy fruit notes along with moderate barrel character. Barrel takes the flavor as well with some dark notes and fruit in the background. Medium body. Nice barrel usage. Much better than the base beer, in my opinion.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[Bottle] shared by Armin. Thanks! Pours a mostly clear brown with a small ring of bubbles. Aroma is surprising - light sourness, dates, figs, cherry pie, spice, brown sugar, light chocolate, rum, moderate alcohol. Awesome aroma. The flavor is a lot more diluted version of the aroma. Light sourness, dark fruits, figs, Belgian yeast, and some special b sharpness. Very nice stuff, but the flavor kind of fell off from the aroma.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour out of 375 mL bottle, thanks Paul! Pour is dark brownish black with white head, aroma has notes of sweet molasses, dark fruits, slightly acidic, hints of slight vanilla, caramel, touch of toffee, yeasty notes, nice rum soaked raisins. Nice. Taste is a nice mix of sweet raisins, plums, figs, hints of caramel, cocoa powder, touch of caramel, molasses, hints of toffee, finishing fairly sweet, some slight booze, maybe a brandy or rum barrel age? Nicely done however.
