Bottle. Near black with a thin beige head. Aromas are peat with plummy fruitiness. Dark chocolate with hints of saltiness. Some caramel with hints of oiliness. Flavours are roast malts with dark chocolate and rich plummy damson. Not too much different to the standard version of the porter. Dry with some aniseed on the finish. Decent.

Starts as a typical stout, but the finish is a delight, with a creamy christmas pudding flavour after taste, moreish, wish i had another bottle now, bloody typical....

aromais very bitter and caramelly malty bitter. flavor is malty, slightly dark fruity, not as bitter as aroma.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and a bit of wood, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2011 (bottled) TheY brew 3 Porters to my knowledge , got these two online and am aloof to care about the other one, this is decent . A tart Porter that makes me ponder a)...I know UK bottled porters can often be sour and fruity or b) infection.....A nice enuff take
big ass dynamic beige head is chunky . The beer has tangy dark plum and a bitter sweet richness , tart allday.

bottle at home ... deep brown ... big bubbly tan head ... sour woody roast chocolate malts ... fizzy ... sour ... toffee roast ... this might have been good ... but despite being in date ... this has clearly gone.

Bottled (from Beers Of Europe). Very deep ruby colour, close to black, with a small brown head. Aroma is mild sour wood, soem slight toasted notes, toffee and also quite strong on raisins/plum. Flavour is much the same with also some quite bitter notes.

Clear dark brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, coffee, fruity, plum, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, tobacco, roasted, coffee, chocolate, dusty, fruity - berry, light light fruity - berry acidic. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110415]
