Pours a dark, rather hazy sepia with a thick and fluffy buff head. Strong aroma has malty, hoppy, hay, and subtle caramel and horehound notes. Lip-smacking flavor mixes malt, woody hops, caramel, fruity and earthy tones with a snipped of horehound. Thick, almost syrupy texture leaves a woody finish and a rather persistent tingle. Long live collaborations!

Bottle. Pours a very deep mahogany. Dense tan coloured head that falls away very slowly leaving beautiful lacing all the way down the glass. Aromas are superb. Floral pine / citrus hops brilliantly balances by deep rich toffee sweetness. Brilliant stuff. Flavours are quite sweet initial with lots of very complex malt. Resiny hop bitterness on the finish. Medium mouthfeel. Brilliant beer.

500 ml bottle @ Patricks. A dark reddish brown body with a nice, dense, lasting off-white head. Aroma has smooth roasted malt, caramel, dry fruit, some grapefruit and tropical fruit. Flavor is sweet and smooth malty, toast, caramel, dry fruit, balanced bitterness and citric fruit. Very nice balance, sweet but not sticky. Full body and a long aftertaste with malt and dry fruit. Great beer.

A dark red, port-like in colour. There’s a real melting pot of aromas - caramel, booze, berries. The beer delivers as promised. It is creamy, quite a full body giving a good mouthfeel, and has the caramels of a scotch ale, booziness of a barleywine with some berries thrown in and the bitter hoppy finish of an IPA that lingers at the end. And yet it all comes together quite nicely.

Bottle at home. Bought at Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg
Dark brown, thin laced beige head. Nice laces! Smells of roasted malts, citrus, caramel, dark fruits, raisins and plums. Quite complex. Heavy sweet, quite malty. Dark dark fruits, roastiness, some lighter aspects as well. Heavy bitter, resins and earthy aromas at first, then dark malts and fruits. Very oily texture, full body, soft carbonation. An extremely smooth and balanced beer, not typical DIPA i would say, very solid malt base that actually is the most impressive part of this beer. Very nice supportive hop bill too. A masterpiece
