3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Couldnít find any bottling information, there was some but I guess it got rubbed off.
Appearance: The body is murky brown with a huge tan head that dissipates slowly creating a plateau as the sides dissipate much quicker than the center.
Aroma: Very astringent earthy and spicy coffee, coming off a bit sour even, upon swirling. The aroma settles to earthy coffee with sweet cocoa. The aroma is a bit restrained though.
Taste: The flavor tastes much better than the aroma indicates with prominent syrupy chocolate matched by earthy and spicy roasted flavors. Definitely a unique type of coffee to my palate, Iíve never tasted one this spicy. The coffee and cocoa match each other nicely while there thick caramel underlies it.
Palate: Full bodied with crisp carbonation.
Overall: This is a good beer, but it looks ugly and the aroma is a bit off-putting at times with a slightly sour astringency. This drinks nice though, probably better if it were fresher. I would buy this again if I saw it fresh.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep brown body with slow moving carbonation and a rich and lasting creamy khaki head. Awesome lacing to boot. The aroma is tons of coffee, tobacco, brown malts, and a light toffee. The flavor is rich and full of coffee, hops, and bitter brown malt. The palate is thick and creamy. Bitter.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle, shared with caterwaul. Mostly hazy red / brown color. Thin khaki head. A couple loose, airy splotches of lace. Very big, strong bitter, musty coffee flavor. Very roasty. Stronger roasty almost burnt malt bitter taste. Not much else, no sweet at all. Some earthy, herbal hop is noticed late under all that coffee. Medium-plus body. Initially, kind of a soft, stronger carbonation, but it gets more agreeable as I go. More dry finish. Nice long, bitter strong coffee aftertaste. Gets much better and and more enjoyable as it sits and warms up; gets more integrated. Coffee works well with the nutty malt, hint of dark chocolate to it. Complex, powerful flavor. Really good, assertive strong bitter coffee ale. Love the long, bitter roasty coffee aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
s/o to DrSilverworm for the share. Translucent dark brown, fluffy tan head. Intense coffee smell and taste- almost... Hmm. Very roasty. Yes. Charcoal? Maybe not, but I reserve that for later. Smells burnt. I like that sometimes. This is one such time. Sweet. Roasty. Bitter. I wanna see more coffee browns. In stouts, sometimes itís just too much. I thinkbrown ales are just right for coffee. Smooth, rich, creamy mouthfeel. Not that bad!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle with a redish brown pour with little head. Big coffee aromas. Bold coffee flavors followed by nuttyness. The beer doesnít support the coffee. Not what a brown ale should be. That said, if you like strong coffee beers, this is really good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Iced coffee dominates this strong aleís entire profile with its roasty, biscuity and sweet-ish currents, culminating in a surprising show of resinous hop bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the dark brown.
-Light strawberry fruitiness appears in the middle.
-Earthy connotations are also tasted.
-Mouthfeel is relatively lean and bubbly.
-This is a fun drink, and a well-made one too, but coffee is simply too much for my tastes.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Relatively clear reddish-brown with a small off-white head. Fantastic aroma of roast coffee, toasted malt, hints of caramel and chocolate. Medium bodied, good carbonation level. Big coffee notes in the flavour, supported by some caramel and dark cocoa, and backing earthiness, and a moderately bittered finish. Pretty strong coffee character here, but itís not aggressive, and it sure doesnít drink like an 8% beer - more like 5.5% or something.

500 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of coffee, carmel and earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, earthiness and light carmel with a smooth dry lingering coffee finish.
