3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2013 Bottled. Pours hazy and deep brown with a medium sized off-white to beige head, leaving a fair lacing. Nose of grapefruit, orange, coffee, chocolate, caramel and floral + pepperish notes. Sweet flavor with a slightly toasted malt taste, that ends up more dry and decent bitter. Medium to full bodied, oily to creamy texture and soft CO2. Delicious and very enjoyable. ★★★★

8wired fouble coffe brown ale
Tap @ Hoprevolution Vol.2. Aroma is full of caramel, sweet wig fruit - and actually not too much coffee. Well, maybe a bit. Coffee-chocolate. Caramel pudding. You can feel coffee creme cake and some more coffee chocolate in the taste. At the end there is espresso, a nice espresso, coming through and dominating the taste. Maybe this is the best coffee beer that I have ever had. Aftertaste is long, full of coffee and malt sweetness. With some hops of course. This beer is made for sipping, not for gulping.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very burnt coffee taste and aroma but nice floral happiness underneath characteristic of 8wired beers. Interesting. Nice cloudy brown color with nutty head. Taste is chocolate, nuttiness, burnt coffee and hops underneath it all. If the burnt coffee taste was a bit less prominent, or a bit less burnt tasting, this would be delicious.

Nice brown-red colour that looks almost like root beer. Smell starts out very strong roasted coffee which gradually becomes raisin-y. Taste is very burnt coffee with good nutty hoppiness. Medium body. Nice ale with lots of coffee but wish it were slightly leas burnt-tasting.

Bottle. Copper pour, small tan head, little retention/lace. Aroma of big green apple, green coffee, onion, light chocolate, light toffee. Taste is moderately bitter, green coffee, toffee, light green apple. Palate is average carbonation, slick, light bitter finish. Beside the acetaldehyde, Iím guessing this was an old bottle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. Deep clear burnt-brick red with a fairly large and long-lasting tan thick cap of tightly foamy head. Aroma is wet limestone, medium roast coffee bean malt and alcohol. Taste is ... terrific; only slightly mineral, itís mostly nutty coffee and dried herb bitterness with alcohol and some slight sharp lactic character. Average body, a bit astringent, nicely carbonated, and a medium roasty/dry bitter finish, interesting mineral aftertaste. Very nice.
