COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A tart, dry and oaky cider. Made from new Zealand grown Sturmer Pippin and traditional cider apples. After pressing the fruit on the Zeffer farmhouse, the juice was fermented with wild yeast. To naturally mellow the acids we then let it undertake a 3 month malolactic ferment in oak. Voila! Cider as (we think) it should be. Dry and not back sweetened. Special thanks to Zeffer Brewing Co. for lending us their machinery, brains and manpower. Cheers.

Beautiful cider! Pours a clear pale, with a fast fading head. The aroma is funky, tart and lots of apples. The taste is surprisingly light, and very vinous. Can replace a light white wine any day!

75 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear yellow with a white head that leaves very little lacing. Aroma and flavour are vinous, apples, oak, and tartness – with a slightly dry finish.

750ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
Pours like champagne - and I even get that winey aroma. Pleasant apple aroma, dry, a touch yeasty. Paleish, carbonation high - spritzy bubbles for ever (I watched a whole movie sipping this, and it was still bubbling at the end of the movie). Yeasty taste, sharp dry notes. Some odd alcoholic and aromatic retronasals, almost a little winey and acetoney on the first sip, but that fades. I normally criticise French ciders for not being strong enough, but this has gone the other way, I don’t want the alcoholic vapours either. However, pretty decent dry cider.

750ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Sparkling pale yellow gold, foamy white head that dissipates away and aroma of apple, fruity, vanilla, oaky. Taste is tart fruity apple, bittersweet, apple skins, woody vanilla, oak, green apple, light farmyard note. Slightly syrupy but crisp mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, fine spritzy carbonation, dry tannins with a clean finish. Very drinkable sparkling cider.

Appearance: Clear golden amber. Aroma: Apple, wood, hint of earthiness, floral, mineral, spice, fruity and champagne/white wine vinosity. Taste: Medium/high tartness and low sweetness. Palate: Thick coarse texture, light/medium body, prickly carbonation, dry, tart, woody, apple, vanilla and champagne/white wine finish, could consider a note of gooseberry in the finish as well.

pale blonde with gentle carbonation and no head. Vanilla and sweet apples on the nose. Fairly dry but minimal tartness, rounded well by oak notes, juicy apples and tingling mouthfeel from carbonation and tannins.

Nice light golden colour with perfect bubles. Smells a bit cellar, but in a nice way. Also fruity hints that reminds me of prosecco. Taste is tart and dry. The oak is noticable, and I like it. A crisp and dry cider that pleases my palate:) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. A yellow cider with a rim of white head. The aroma has notes of apples, wod, and brettanomyces. The flavor is acidic with notes of sour apples and brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish.

Pours gold with a large quickly dissipating head. Nose shows a white wine character, soft apple notes, pears and gooseberry. Dry, acidic flavours. Some white wine characters again along with some granny smith notes. Finishes with tart apple hit alongside a reappearance of the wine note. Nice moderately high carbonation. Not bad, that acidic hit is great.
