Not your usual German/Belgian inspired wheat beer. Brewed with 50% wheat, good amounts of NZ and US hops and a British ale strain.

Golden brown with a big frothy head - not quite white Id expect from wheat beer. Sharp and citrusy on the nose, and the wheat tang comes through at this point. In the mouth its a lot more solid and rewarding, not as stodgy and single-note as other wheat beers, but at the same time its all a bit restrained. Not as adventurous as other 8 Wired beers, but probably still a bit too much going on for non-craft drinkers looking to move out from more mainstream wheat offerings. Good, but not great.

Alluring tropical fruit aroma with a golden straw colour. Surprising laid back taste is well balanced with an initially tart finish giving way to smooth bitterness.

500ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. Rating from early 2014. Nice beer this one. Easy to drink, no bells and whistles just a straight up good beer.

from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark blond beer under a solid white foam left; fresh hoppy aroma of apples, berries and citrus; medium-bodied, assertive and quite tasty, solid carbonation; dry and citric hoppy finish with light corny notes

On tap @ Brew Craft Beer Pub, Rotorua. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has citrus, hints of banana. Golden coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is slightly bitter, has some citrus, yeasty tones, some grass.

An awesome beer enjoyed in a warm late afternoon. Surprisingly easy to drink, it pays homage to it Belgian ingredient and style origins whilst bringing something inquire to the palate; will look to purchase several for a session as opposed to it standing apart amongst an international beer appreciation afternoon/evening

Lots of carbonation and a very dry head that is impossible to avoid. It also sticks around. Strong "white IPA" nose, with some aspirin, apple. You "taste" the carbonation, bitterness comes second, but lingers, apple stays but leaves before it overstays its welcome. Some white pepper.

A relatively mild wheat beer that is deceptively easy to consume. Notes of grapefruit underly the smooth wheat tones. Frangimus
