We believe HopWired is the first bottled version of a true new world India Pale Ale made with NZ grown base malt and 100% truly unique NZ hops. We bet you’ll find nothing else like it on the shelves. Although the malty sweetness is there, this beer is all about the hops. Unlike an American I.P.A. which will mainly hit you with a grapefruity-citrus flavour and aroma, the unique NZ hops used in HopWired are more like a tropical punchbowl: Passion fruit, lime, oranges and Sauvignon Blanc to name but a few. A local Marlborough winemaker said it smelled like gooseberries... Gooseberries? Who has ever smelled a gooseberry?? Decide for yourself or just enjoy it without further complications. Cheers!

Det här var en knepig sak med en knepig smak som bar toner av trä och någon odefinierbar fruktighet. Kroppen var okej precis som balansen.

Oh man this is fantastic. Pours a golden orange, not much head to speak of. THAT AROMA. Instantly hoppy, citrusy, spicey. Tastes of kiwis, passionfruit, grapefruit, peaches, mangos, citrus, pine. A perfect level of bitterness kicks this into near perfection. (I also need to add that my bottle had the perfect level of carbonation for my palate and was served at my preferred temperature). This was a real treat to drink!

500 ml bottle at home. Pours orange with a steady thin head. Intense peach and mango aroma, subtle citrus and little piny touch. Instant bitter hit on the palate, all the way through. Lacks a bit of sweetness for my liking. Dry and bitter finish. Very decent IPA.

On tap at MikkellerBar in Copenhagen. Strong IPA which pours a dark orange with a small white head and some strong lacings. Nose is peach, passion fruit and sweet malts...and a touch if whiskey on that account. Taste is grassy herbs, pine and loads of fresh hops. Great IPA - with thirst, Niklas

Bottle from Bierkompass.de. Clear, amber, body, with medium, creamy, frothy, white head, that leaves a fair lacing. Great, fresh, fruity aroma of peach, apricot, passion fruit, grapefruit, pine, grass, sweet malt. Taste with generally the sama aromas, also very fruity and greatly balanced between hops and malts. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with just the right amount of carbonation and finishes very fruity again, with a decent bitterness. Tasty! Extremely fruity and crisp IPA, with a great balance.
