COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We believe HopWired is the first bottled version of a true new world India Pale Ale made with NZ grown base malt and 100% truly unique NZ hops. We bet you’ll find nothing else like it on the shelves. Although the malty sweetness is there, this beer is all about the hops. Unlike an American I.P.A. which will mainly hit you with a grapefruity-citrus flavour and aroma, the unique NZ hops used in HopWired are more like a tropical punchbowl: Passion fruit, lime, oranges and Sauvignon Blanc to name but a few. A local Marlborough winemaker said it smelled like gooseberries... Gooseberries? Who has ever smelled a gooseberry?? Decide for yourself or just enjoy it without further complications. Cheers!

Bottled from de Molen. Slight hazy amber color, medium off-white head. Soft floral hoppy aroma, bit citrus, nelson sauvin, slight tropical fruit, hint of biscuit. Hint of sweetness in taste, mostly bitter, slight grainy, white wine. Quite dryish bitter palate, but not crisp, more fruity.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a nice off white head. Aroma is malty, piny, hoppy and fruity peachy. Flavor is similar to the aroma, very nice. Finishes fruity and bitter piny.

Bottle from John’s Marketplace. Pours murky orange brown with a decent beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a delightfully funky citrus and toffee flavor with a winey characteristic. This is a unique brew that is a pleasure to drink.

On tap at the local taphouse. Nice malt-driven ale. Aromas of caramel, grass, and butter. Taste has a sweet start, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is velvety, with a medium-to-full body. Orange, with a frothy head.

Very pleasant and flavourful IPA. Unusual white wine flavours, citrus, mango, melon, berry, apricot. High IBU. Very good taste profile but for hopheads.

nice ipa, pours a hazty orange amber body with a nice off white head that stays around and has tons of thick lacing. the aroma is subdued, the taste a lil less so. there is a nice fruity profile going on, but its a bit lighter than expected. nice malt bill to hold up behind it, though a hint of cardboard. not sure how old it is, has a best by 8-11 sticker, but it seems like its def a lil big aged already. would love to try it on tap.

This is awesome, best beer of the night. Orange /amber pour with nice grapefruit, grass, berry and pine aroma. Nice bold, but blended hop taste. Nice bitter mild fruit finish.

Bottle. Poured an amber, cloudy, color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas harder for me to pin down. Some kind of fruitiness, A little earthy, dried out berry skins, and caramel. Tastes of the same. Different.
