Nice drop this one. Found the alcohol a little distracting, and the hop aroma a little.... strange. It was a nice drop, although a little hard to finish the whole bottle...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle, amber color, with a fluffly white head, mild toasted, caramel, pale, bread malt, floral tropical fruit, leafy, grassy hoppy nose, with some light lime, green grapefruit, pineapple, faint soap oil accents, with a faint fruit salad, spicy yeast note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a mild flowery green citrus, leafy, grassy, tropical fruit hoppy, toasted, bready, pale, caramel malt character, with some lemon, grapefruit, lime, piney flavours, leading towards a yeasty, bready, toasted, pale maltiness, nice lingering leafy, grassy, green citrusy, piney hop bittering finish. The beer lost a bit of his hoppiness punch during his travel to north america.

A beautifully complex IPA. I got seaweed flavours, over the expected hoppy goodness. Tastes different on the way in to what it does on the way down! Drank it on tap at the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Adelaide.

Brilliantly clear amber-copper colour. Medium white head. Grassy citrus aroma with nice caramel backing. Medium oily body. Sight sweetness and alcohol warmth finished with an assertive bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - pours orange with a big dense white head. Initial aroma was sweet malt but after a swirl there is a massive fruit hit along with resin, the combination of the two is a bit off putting at first but then it settles down and a rich orange citrus aroma come through. Taste hits the palate with a bang, orange citrus hop up front then the hop bitterness kicks in. The finish is lingering and sharp.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A well brewed beer, Good complexity. A straight forward hop forward beer. Great fruity nose but with a slightly overpowered Nelson Sauvin? note. Might be masking some of the other aromas? Still an impressive nose.
Palate is a bitter affirmation of the fruity nose. With a lightly malted style more for alcohol content than a contribution to palate, this show is all about the hops.
Good finish, the bitterness lingers and if you hold off taking another sip for a minute, a nice caramel note lies on the tongue. A well thought out beer that is made for a purpose.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2013 The head is robust, the body gold. It smells hoparomatic intensive, fruity, bit flowery, a bit malty. The taste is hoparomatic, fresh, fruity, intensive bitter. 3.8

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Faintly vegetative smell - not super pleasant. The flavours are big and interesting - resinous, fruity, bold. This really lingers. Deliciously big IPA, but perhaps not super sessional. Still a great Australisian brew.

I had this at Global Brew. It pours a copper color, with nice head. Nice hop taste. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.
