4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear, dark orange color with a finger length off white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a soapy lacing. Smells very interesting; unlike any IPA Iíve smelled. Get lime, peach, like a guava or papaya smell, a unique floral presence, white grape, grass, dryness, some sweetness. Taste starts with some lime, peach, white grape, and some kind of tropical fruit. Then a tiny bit of breadiness shines through as well as some sweetness, but the astringency of the hops are increasing at this point as well, creating an unbalanced flavor profile. Luckily, the brewery was not going for a balanced product. The finish is very complex, with more lime, peach, some papaya or guava, maybe passionfruit, different floral flavors, some carmel sweetness, a very herbal flavor as well. The herbal flavor is not quite pine, but is does add a spicy-type flavor to the finish. Pretty astringent and dry finish, with the different hop flavors lingering after every sip. Itís very hard to describe the flavors in this beer because I have honestly not experienced these flavors in an IPA before. High medium body with a creamy and slick finish. I hope to have more IPAís in the future featuring New Zealand hops. Very unique IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Edmunds Oast. Light amber pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma is dominated by grapefruit hops, resins and caramel maltiness. Flavor is similar and fairly soft with nothing too in you face hop character with a moderately bitter finish. Itís alway hard to judge a IPA from half way around the world.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a light hazy orange colour. Off white head that faded quite quickly. Light caramel aroma with some grassy citrus hints. Flavour is quite similar, some caramel malts followed by tastes of grassy and citrus fruit hops. Just the right amount of carbonation. First beer Iíve tried from New Zealand, very good first impressions here.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a lightly hazed orange color with a modest off-white head that quickly falls. Aroma is has a light caramel sweetness with notes of some light grassiness early but it quickly transitions to passion fruit and a lime/grapefruit citrus. Flavor follows the nose pretty well. Early malt sweetness is followed by some bitter/citrus hop combo with a light dryness and overall bitter sweet finish. Body is modest with very fine carbonation delivering the flavors nicely. Overall a good brew that truly shows off the flavors of some NZ hops.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at BrewDog Shepherds Bush. Light to mid gold, ever so slightly hazy, big lacing. Massive pine aroma, candy floss, toast. A slight earthy note. Taste has an initial sweetness that turns to back-of-the-tongue hoppy bitter incredibly quickly. Bitter aftertaste which fades but doesnít completely disappear. Impressive.
