Chunky, chewy, hazy orange and copper coloured body with a dense, thick, microbubbled tan head - this is an amazing looking IPA. Aroma of juicy, mouthwatering pine and grapefruit hops with a touch of honey and citrus, but a very bittering smell. Medium-bodied; Assertive hoppy flavour with some resin and grapefruit, then showing some sweetness of pineapple and a touch of honey and malt. Aftertaste is a bit hoppy, but full of tropical flavours and some light herbal and floral tastes. Overall, a very good looking and smelling beer, but the taste was a bit one dimensional and underhopped in my opinion, especially considering the smell. A strong beer, but not better than most West Coast [American] IPAs. I sampled this tall 500mL bottle purchased from Olive Tree Marketplace in San Diego, California on 08-February-2011 for US$9.99 sampled at home in Washington on 26-February-2011.

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small micropore slightly lacing white head. Sweet fruity aroma, peach and the like, lots of resin. Taste is also fruity, resinous, has some citrus. Hoppy finish is signed by dry and bitter notes.

Clear copper orange pour thin off white head light sticky lacing .... aroma is all about fruits tropical and citrusy, oranges and limes with caramel malts, spicy hop oils, piney and rinds ... taste is a nice mix of spicy/piney hops, caramel malts, fruity oranges, citrusy and tropical fruits with some light biscuity malts ... finish is bitter and dry ... a nice solid ipa

Pours golden with not much head. Aroma of passionfruit, citrus, grapefruit, peach and floral hops. Taste is of passionfruit, bitter with medium body and then warmth from the alcohol. Well rounded and drinkable.

One of the best beers made in NZ. Big and bold hoppiness dominate this beer, but not to the extent that it becomes undrinkable. Drier than I remember.

Bottle at Henrik. Pours a cloudy amber colour with a small off-white head. Both aroma and flavour is dominated by fruity hops, apricots, grapefruits, citrus, grass and pine. Has a slick mouth feel, and medium bitterness. This is a really good IPA.

Really nice ipa. Definitely taste a faint hint of passion fruit in the background and a little citrus. Well balanced malt.

Hopfig-blumiger, zitrusmäßiger Duft mit Noten von Geranien. Zopfiger nur marginal zitrusbehafteter Start. Mitte vordergründig malzbetont, wobei der Hopfen sich im Hintergrund hält. Trocken-bitterer, würziger Abgang. Entschlossenes, weniger süßes IPA. Gut.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a medium white head. Aroma of dry floral and piney hops, lime and citrus, passion fruit and white wine notes as well. Flavour is quite dry and vinous, with piney and floral dry hops, feint tropical fruit notes and white wine - finishes vinous, dry and yeast. Full-bodied and well-balanced, though a bit messy. Nonetheless, very good IPA.

50cl bottle. Large beige head atop murky apple cider body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some passion fruit, some bread/caramel, light lime. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some white wine, lime. Medium body, some resin.
