COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beware, this is a BIG beer. Brimming with luscious roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavours which are balanced by a brisk bitterness and bold freshness from the hops. If you’re feeling politically incorrect try it with your favourite cigar, or a dram of your best single malt whisky. Or, if your tooth is sweeter, why not jump in at the deep end with the most decadent dessert of all; half a bottle in a glass with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top (beer geeks like us know it as the Imperial Stout Float). Or simply enjoy it on its own as a decadent dessert or night cap - the perfect winter warmer! If you don’t already know the history of Russian Imperial Stouts please check it out on the internet, it’s a good story. But remember, although based on that century-old classic style, this beer is a very modern interpretation, like all our beers!

A very strong taste, a bit too strong for me. A very big beer. Not bad, just strong.

Bottle. Glorious full mouthfeel and rich, lasting maltiness. Initially, a healthy dose of bitterness, but the end of the taste is quite sweet; an aftertaste which is still present almost an hour later. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with an airy appealing head, aroma of chocolates, hint of coffee, leather, malt and berries. Flavor is dark chocolate and malt. The flavor lingers, slightly bitter. On the label it mentions an Imperial Stout Float.......1/2 bottle of this stuff and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Genius.

50 cl. Batch 86.

500ml bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Roasted malt, mocha chocolate and vanilla with a creamy texture, very luscious and coats the mouth. Sweet without being cloying, moreish. Very good.

17-MAY-2013, bottle @Ølbutikken with Ulkløbben. Dark, dark brown with low tan head. Sweet roast, chocolate, bread, and barrel-like notes like bourbon and vanilla. Taste the same with loads of sweet roast. Medium body and carbonation. Finish a little thin’er but long and roasted. This is nice.

Another superb beer from the good folks at 8 Wired. Hugely complex and excellently tasty. Would go well with any strong main or a chocolate, coffee, vanilla based desert. but can stand on it’s own with ease.

[5/4/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Black with a brown head. Aroma of roastiness and quite a bit of hops, a bit herbal and piney. Rather bitter flavor with some roastiness, sweet chocolate and piney hops. Rather full-bodied. Good stuff.
