Brewed in the famous Marlborough wine region, full on aroma and taste of hazelnut. Very toasty as well.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle - $9.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a very dark, russet-hued body with a tall, ever-growing, overflowing, foamy beige head.
Smell: Some nutty, toasty, roasty, caramel hints, but it’s a glass full of never-ending suds blanketing the aroma.
Taste: Nutty, toasty malts with some roastiness and a deep taste of heavily caramelized brown sugar. Slight dark fruitiness, then some slightly tangy citrus and woodsy resinous tones from the hops. Sufficiently bitter. Malty, drying, eye-rollingly overcarbonated finish. I can’t tell if I’m foaming at the mouth from the over-wrought carbonation or due to sheer frustration. Either way, this beer is to blame!
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Highly carbonated, making the whole pouring/drinking/enjoying process very, very pesky.
Overall: The carbonation problem spoiled what could’ve been a very nice brown ale. Ah well!

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Maybe something happened during transport, but my experience with this beer was not what others have indicated. A slight, hard to define aroma. Pours a dark brown with little to no head. The taste was the real disappointment. The carbonation overwhelmed the taste. While roastiness was there the carbonation just suppressed it. Medium bodied with too high carbonation. Overall, was not enjoyable. However, I want to try it again to see if this particular bottle was A fluke or not.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Pours slightly hazy, deep brown with a medium sized, creamy and tan head leaving some fair lacing. Nose of caramel, nuts and citrus fruits. Sweet flavor that ends up solid bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and average CO2. An excellent and quite hoppy brown ale.★★★★

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle - pours brown, gushing with a head that is inches thick and stays on for a long time. Had to wait until it was warmed up to room tempretature to smell something and for the head to disappear. After that, the aroma is very elegant: leather, honey, eoasted malt, caramel. Light body with overwhelming carbonation, taste of salted caramel, plums, raisins.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50cl bottle from Geers, BB 12/2012. Holy head retention, literally had to scoop it out of the glass as it sat there for 5 minutes without diminishing. In the end, the frothy head was too overwhelming covering even every sips taken.
