De botella. Dark brown colour. Nice big beige head, fairly well lasting, lively. Hoppy and dark malty aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is quite hoppy for a brown ale with dark malts, caramel, nutty like, sweet. Good well lasting bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It’s red-brown with a creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, nuts, light chocolate and fruit. The flavour is moderately sweet with a dry bitterness, that surprises me in a BA. The notes are citrus, grass, light caramel and chocolate, and the finish is dry and bitter. It’s nice, but maybe too hoppy to be a BA.

500ml bottle (ALEhouse, Riga, MelnaZiema2013)
Brown, small head. . Fairly typical brown ale aroma. Stodgy taste, a bit yeasty. Nice bitter bite in finish, but a little metallic too. Unsatisfying.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Clear, dark, dirty-orange ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, off-white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is heavily nutty and chocolaty with a touch of vanilla. Medium-bodied with airy carbonation. The flavor offers bittersweet cocoa, light vanilla and toasted almonds. Finishes moderately sweet, chocolaty and a touch grassy.

Superb brown, exceeding expectations. Bottle from Premiere. De Konnick glass that poured dark brown with off-white retained one-eighth head, and tons of spider lace. Malty aroma. Way bove average mouthfeel that delivers great bitterness with solid roasted malt backbone. Residual lemony aftertaste. Appropriate carbonation. masterful.

Bottle shared with Joes, Countbeer and DutchDrebus. Brown colored with a beige head. Just not enough grapefruit-smell for me. Also the taste is nice but just not getting there.
