UPDATED: AUG 24, 2012 Great NZ saison, probably the best I’ve tasted. Love the balance and the fact the ETOH is not overpowering. Best as a summer beverage, sitting out in the sun.

Pours a cloudy yellow with nice white head and beautiful lasting lace. The smell to me is a lemony grapefruit blend at first then accompanied by saison style earthy yeast undertones. The flavour is a nice mouthful of zesty lemon and grapefruit finishing with a mix of yeast and pepper on the tongue. Great saison.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2012 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours an opaque amber with a small but firm white head. Leaves wonderful lacing. Nose is superb. Lemon curd, gooseberries, grass, slight farmhouse, grapefruit and pine. Full marks. Taste begins with the pine and farmhouse notes which slowly turn into a lemon-grass finish with a slight tang on the palate. Very well crafted. A fantastically skilled brew which is nothing short of what I would expect from Soren
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Slayer85 (979) - Firenze, ITALY - JAN 31, 2013
Bottle. A lightly hazy dark golden to pale amber beer, with a large, frothy, lightly lacing, mostly lasting white head. The aroma is lightly to mopderately malty (bread), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, lemon, flowers), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of mango, orange, pineapple juice, other tropical fruits, white grapes. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, silky texture, lively carbonation, long finish with moderate bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Simply delicious. Outstanding, ultra fruity aroma, clean and balanced. Satisfying and drinkable. And I want more...

19th October 2011 Hazy amber beer with a big pale cream coloured head. Softish palate, a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Creamy malt base. Lovely hops - vibrant grape with lesser blackcurrant, grapefruit and peach. Finishes with mild minerals and medium hop bitterness. Lovely! Nelson Sauvin never tastes the same twice and here it is particularly grapey.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 erickok (2282) - Tours, FRANCE - DEC 15, 2011
Light hazy, light brown beer with a firm white head. Looks promising! Lots of grapefruit, grapes, passion fruit, mango and raspberry bitterness. And this fruit cocktail is complemented with barnyard smells and wheat. The taste, then, does exactly what I hoped; lots of flavour, quite balanced but a clear hop character. Damn nice, although I agree it’s not necessarily a classic saison. But with this much flavour and unique twist, you won’t hear me complain. Well, except that it’s extremely sparsely imported and therefore very expensive. (50cl bottle, 9,60 EUR)
