IPAs are great but sometimes you just don’t want the amount of alcohol that comes with most of the good ones. In this spirit we brewed Semiconductor. an IPA designed to be drunk by the gallon, if you are that thirsty.

33cl bottle. Clear orange amber beer, white head. Nose is a bit thin, but grassy, fruity, citric, oranges. Flavor is oranges, peach notes, thin malt and caramel notes, citrus, oranges. Hoppy finish, grapefruity and grassy-earthy notes. Very drinkable or thin as all hell, depending on who you ask. I’m leaning towards "drinkable":

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2016 330ml bottle (Koht, Tallinn)
Pale orange, spongy head, briefish. Ugh, messy APA yeast and hop fingerprint in the aroma, a real plasticky mess. Even worse in the mouth. Very dirty, plasticky, APA yeast fingerprint everywhere. Some nuts and nut papers, makes it taste old, but there’s no BB so I can’t judge the age. Palate drinkable, a little watery, pleasant carbonation, but the hops are dirty and dusty, I want to scrape my tongue. And I’m completely parched, I should basically love anything with water in it. All the worst things of APAs and Session IPAs can be found here, dreadful.

Golden yellow colour. Medium white head. Fruity aroma. Hints of tangerines, orange core, hints of peach. Hints of tangerines at first. Slight sweetness in the middle. Hints of fruits. Slight saltiness. Slightly citrussy finish. Bitterness in aftertaste. Quite well balanced, slightly watery, but quite drinkable session IPA. However, had more refreshing ones which have really juicy taste.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A clean amber pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma but muted with some grassy notes; tart fruity taste, with gooseberry and lime; and then some citrus peel to finish. A pleasant beer with more than a touch of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Bottle. Very hazy orange gold, lively off white head. Aroma is citrus and light grass, a bit soapy. Light caramel malts, citrus/grassy hop character, a touch reedy. Moderately bitter finish.

Bottle from Shinsegae Busan. 4.4% It pours a deep gold with minimal foam. The aroma is hoppy dank resinous pine bark with very mild fruitiness. The body is light & very dry while the taste is crackery light malts and sweet citrus rind at first before the pine cones through in the finish. All right but Akitu's was lower in ABV but more drinkable. Maybe due to freshness? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rating #1177 14.07.2014 - Bottle from CBI Killer tropical punch erupting from this foaming straw-coloured pour. Cool mango, citrusy hoppy overtones pronounced into a balanced cookie dough, pastry shop maltiness, with a crisp dry finish. Serve it by the gallon.
