Murky golden color. Lots of passionfruit and tropical fruit notes. Very well balanced rounded body with decent amount of hops and malts

On tap at Pomeroys. Aroma like fresh hops cut and rubbed over the face, taste of huge hops, which is a wicked bitter-slap to the senses. Very bitter, but not astringent by any means. Not the ideal drink for a lunchtime tipple--the first mouthful woke me out of my Friday bored-at-work feeling, and the final mouthful almost put me into a deep slumber for the rest of the afternoon. Will definitely have again at a more convenient time.

Tasted on tap at Pommeroy’s with TimE. A huge passionfruit, tropical fruit and lemon citrus nose that leapt out of the glass. I swear I could smell the hops a good couple of metres away. A gorgous looking beer too. Coppery-gold with a firm white head that sank away in time. The first taste is a good mouthful of fruitiness before descending into a riot of mouthfilling bitterness. Mercifully this was the last beer of the evening because as I’d already had a few this beer at 8.88% tipped me over the edge into a warm, cuddly oblivion. This is a beer for the ages.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2011 Tap at Beer Quartet. Pours an awesome opaque copper with a small white head. Nice lacing. Amazing aroma. Thick passionfruit and mango. Huge tropical aromas on the nose. Thick passionfruit, lychee and tropical fruits surround the tastes. Can’t believe this 8.8%. Amazing beer
