On tap at Hawthornes, pours hazy bright orange with medium tightly bubbled head. Aromas are rusty hops, spicy grain, malt, and bitter fruit. Taste is bitter hops, blood orange, caramel, ash, and grape candy. Medium body. Just way too bitter. I think were better off keeping the hoppy stuff in house and local.

Slightly hazy honey brown with a thick pillowy crown. Yum yum yummers man this smell good. Wife says it smells like lemon and beer.... possibly a wet one. I smell heavy caramel, big citrus mostly RRGF but I also hit lemon. Aroma has a pungent quality after it sits for a while. First sip has a soapy wood quality. Big caramel sweetness, some bubble gum, honey, resin, so much citrus. Grapefruit, pineapple ...................... I keep finding a hidden funk. Heavy missed up aftertaste. So very bitter!! good brew not great.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex earthy aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy complex bitter finish of medium to long duration. This is a standout beer.

In a tulip glass on tap at the Local Tapouse, St Kilda on 18/3/13. Pours a bright and beautiully burnt orange colour with real clarity, a great looking beer. A sensational full aroma of fruity Kiwi hops (citrus and orange peel) and caramel malt sweetness. Flavours are unreal, candied fruit, chocolate orange or toffee apple progressing into a bold and intense bitterness that lingers, but at the front of the palate not the back of the throat. With a big body that gives an excellent mouthfeel. I love this brewery and this is one of their best. One note of caution: I had this beer on tap at Cookie about 4 months ago and the bitterness was overpowering and unbalanced. None of those issues this time, it’s superb... but does raise some consistancy issues.

Bottle - Fruity, resins and malts. Clear copper with a thin white head. Bitter and resinous, with some pine and tropical fruits peaking out. The bitterness is a bit overwhelming but the mouth feel is nice and thick. Not bad, but the bitterness is too much.

500 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with little head. Aromas of grapefruit and tropical fruit with caramel and malt in the background. Flavors are similar with big chewy malts up front leading to a nice light bitter piney finish. Very tasty.

500ml bottle. Dark amber gold with a thin but creamy head. On the nose it is heaped with reesiny fruity hops. Thick mouthfeel, bitter but sweet and super fruity. Great offering from 8 wired
