2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keg at Slowbeer, Melbourne, Victoria. Cloudy pale amber, small head. Bready grapefruit aroma. Mid sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly malt, bread and grapefruit, then a smashingly bitter finish. Much more bitterness than aroma.

@ Ölbutikken 8/2-2014. Flaska från Ölbutikken, Köpenhamn. Mycket trevlig doft, tall, grape, maltig, karamell, ganska humlig, medelfyllig, bra beska. Lång besk avslutning.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
what a beer. slightly hazy amber with a fine head. amazing aroma of dominant hop notes (citrus, peach, grass, floral) and slowly unfolding layer of caramel and roast notes. well-balanced, very pleasant bitterness. no hint of alcohol in the aftertaste. brilliant, but a bit pricey.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not terrible by any means, but was definitely hoping for more from such a highly rated DIPA. Perhaps it had sat on the shelf a little too long because the hops weren’t the freshest in the world. More bready malt than I would like, this was more of a supped up English IPA than a true hop bomb.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours clear amber, thin head with reasonable lacing. Hops, hops and more hops. High ABV and bitterness keep it in check.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2015 Tropical fruit aroma in a golden amber pour. Taste is surprisingly laid back for the strength and style with a surprisingly balanced flavour (rather than the in-your-face hop forward/bitter balance expected). An excellent example of the Antipodean take on the style (albeit not the benchmark).
