Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 07/12/12.
Clear mid amber with a large off white head that thins but retains. Good lacing ensues.
Nose is big on caramel malts, grapefruit backing up the malts, also a good pinch of pine and some mineral tones.
Taste comprises caramel malt, mango, pine, hops, bitter grapefruit, sweet candied sugars, touch of biscuit.
Medium bodied with bite, soft carbonation leading to a bitter sweet finish.

Craft Clerkenwell. Light haze on this amber beer and a little white head. Nice fine carbonation in a slightly soft palate. Sweetish pale malt underpins. Lovely tropical fruity hops. Marmalade with mango, dried apricot, fresh orange and a trace of lemon. Finishes crisp and minerally, with a marmalade bitter aftertaste. Every mouthful a winner!

500ml bottle. Pours a clear golden amber, with a medium off-white head, which lasts reasonably well and leaves acceptable lacing. Potent tropical hops aromas blend with floral notes and some nutty malt. Powerful grapefruit and pineapple hops up front lead into some toasty, slightly charry malt in the mid-palate, with more pineapple and a touch of mango coming into the finish. There is a lingering bitter aftertaste. This is a very nice DIPA, and only improved by the fact that I have just spent three months in Africa and the Middle East, where the beer is either terrible or totally non-existent!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at CBC, London. It pours an amber colour with a large off-white head. Foam is dimishing quickly. Nose is hoppy with piny and tropical fruitnotes. Godd malty backbone. A tad boozy. Overall, good beer but certainly not outstanding.

very much a significant amount of bitter hops on the palate. Not so much that you suck air in through tangy lips, but thatís a noise thatís making itself heard. (it does say on the label.....) That pine aroma seems to carry through to the taste, which is very long as a taste.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 Keg at Craft Beer Co. - Islington, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, creamy head. Nose is all caramel and pine. Medium sweet flavor with some gritty pine, grass, earth, toasty malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Strong bitter finish, lightly warming, with ripe orange, more pine. Very good DIPA. Quite pleasant drinking. (3.8 - 11/25/2012).
Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Day 2, Session 1. Pours clear, deep gold with a creamy cap. Bright citrus fruits in the aroma, especially grapefruit. Big sweet flavor with sugary pale malts, lightly dried citrus, more grapefruit, some tangerine, faint pine needles. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately resinous on the finish with sticky citrus, orange, grapefruit. A touch sweet at times but decent overall. (3.7)

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2012 100th rating. Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a deep orange with a nice head with good lacing. Aromas of tropical fruits such as lychee, passionfruit. Mango and other citrus aromas. Taste is backed up by a heavy bitterness but leaves you clucking for more. Itís like diving into a sea of tropical fruit, so easy to drink for 8.8%. Amazing stuff.

Huge flavours but so well weighted and taut. Big tropical fruit pungency jumps from the glass on pouring. Unbelievably drinkable for 9% - the tropical fruit intertwines fantastically with the light, though sturdy malt body. Nice dry fruity finish. This ranks up there with any DIPA I have had, Pliny, Hop Stoopid et al. A pleasure to drink. So happy to try this - thanks volcanicbeat for bringing this over!
