Bottle at Tipplers Tap in Brisbane. This beer lived up to its reputation and didnít disappoint in any area. Where do I start? This is right up there with the best IPAíS Iíve ever had the pleasure of drinking; superb beer.

Hazy pour with little head, accompanied by a resin hop aroma. Resin carries through to flavor, along with some pine notes and requisite bitterness that doesn't overwhelm, over a pretty good malt base. As far as resin-forward DIPAs go, this one is more balanced, and is not all resin, all the time, as can often be the case. Not bad at all! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at a tasting at Mattís place. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin white head that falls quickly. Big spicy citrus on the nose, heavy grapefruit zest, pineapple. Medium bodied, sweet caramel and malt. Big earthy hops. Long pithy grapefruit with some pineapple on the end. Very nice.

Bottle at Matt & Zachís tasting. Pours golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is hugely grapefruit with some tropical fruit notes and citrus zest notes. Taste is hoppy bitterness with notes of citrus zest and lots and lots of pine resin. Bright, clean bitter finish. Really nice.

It poured a hazy gold colour with medium carbonation creating a white head, big pleasant aroma of grapefruit citrus with a hint of pine. The resiny hop flavour is well balanced with a heap of caramel/ toffee malt sweetness with a lingering bitterness. Its a fine example of an imperial IPA and does not taste like 8.8%.

Quite strong nose that feels more PNW than exotic, citus pine. Lots of resins and earthfeel in the flavour, quite syrupy but doesnít feel sickly sweet. Sure is something. My friendís first dipa... they reached for some more.

This particular bottle is oxidized, but luckily its big enough to rise above. Maybe because its not my first, I can cancel out any outside notes. More of an East Coast double IPA than the Citra, which I would call a heavenly blend of West Coast and NZ hop flavours. Pungent. wet and dank. This beer demands a bit more thinking about. Itís like an alluring supermodel who is alluring BECAUSE of her imperfections, her down to earth real-ness. This beer is real. Visceral stuff, man. Imagine being a lion and shoving your snout into the guts of an antelope whose heart is still beating. Nature, red in tooth and claw, but not in a cheap plonk kind of way, in a very protestant kind of way.

Muted hop aroma ... Muted hop taste ...lasting bitterness... This is a battle no one wins with hops and sugary malt... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy orange with a medium off white head. Aroma has nice orange and mango notes. Flavor is slightly buttery with big resinous/medicinal pine...very bitter. Mouthfeel is medium/full and sticky with a buttery/very resinous bitter and dry finish.
