4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle into tulip glass at home. Translucent deep amber body with a medium just off white head that laces nicely. Nose is very hoppy (pine, citrus with grapefruit and orange notes dominating) on top of a sweet caramel malt backbone and a touch of vanilla. Flavours are similar with a substantial resinous dry hop bitterness that lingers. Palate is bittersweet and fruity with a medium-full body and lively mouthfeel. A lovely DIPA to be savoured.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Keg at Mikkeller. Hazy orange. Loads of pine and grapefruit in the aroma, some pot pourri and grassiness too. Taste gives grass, spruce, pine needles and grapefruit, followed by pithy grapefruit and light caramel. Some sweet malts make it a bit sticky. Heavy pine/spruce bitterness. Residual herbaceous notes and grapefruit. Pretty damn good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle, pours medium amber with a bit of haze and a small frothy head. Aroma is heavy on the caramel and honey malts, quite a thick palate, with balance from piney and citrus hops, grapefruit and passion fruit. Finish is long and bitter. Carbonation is quite light. Another really good beer from 8 wired.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. A deep dark brown one with a small nearly non existing sidesticking brown top. Smells of brett and a it has a general sourness over it. Fruit sour almost with wood and red berries. Almost like a Flandern sour. That goes again in the taste. Lots of woody dry sourness, red berries and even traces of chocolate and cocoa. More cocoa than chocolate really. Light oily on the mouthfeel and about average on the carbonation. Lingering soft sourness in the drymouthing finish. Not bad and a bit untypical. 04.05.2013

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle poured in to a snifter. Cloudy amber-golden with a dense, small white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, resin, grapefruits, exotic fruits and rich caramel malts. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body, slick feel, average carbonation. Finishes bitter and fruity with lots of hops - especially pines. Well made DIPA, lacks a bit compared with the effervescent hoppy freshness from HopWired. However, this is a heavier, malt centered beer.
