3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Red-amber colour, with thick and slightly rocky head. Earthy aroma with lots of crystal malt and some fruity hops that have at this point begun to fade. Earthy character has lots of bitterness and rich crystal/caramel malt complexity. Long finish is really only a little bit chewy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. It pours a hazy, amber body and a dense, finger-thick beige head. Nice hoppy accent on the nose, pine cones and citrus peel. Caramel notes and something lightly spiced too. A bit sweet on the palate I think, but nice, with a pleasant bitterness lasting a long time. Caramel and citrus peel too. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Overall, nice, but too sweet, else itís a beer I could have a few of. Well, it still is a beer I could have a few of. 110917

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 500ml (Pikkulintu)
Deep amber-red color, small off-white head. Flowery, trefoil, sweetish, honeyish aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, flowery-fruity hoppyness. So it is sweetish, but not too much - balance is just right. Good brew. My first beer from Renaissance Brewing. Now would like to get more.

Deep red with a frothy, off-white head. Resiny, piney, caramel, strawberries, mild vinious. High frothy carbonation, fine dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegantly hoppy, fine caramel, pine needles, dry, bitter, grapefruit, citric. Elegant malty balance with a fairly sharp bitterness in the finish.
