COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tall Poppy - India Red Ale This is an ale that is not afraid of standing tall among other great beers. The intense, sharp and fruity hoppiness is backed by its complex, caramel-like malty structure. Big, yet refreshing. Bold but balanced. This beer has been designed to have it all, to be the greatest common denominator.

Tried on tap at Sail & Anchor. Reddy orange body with off-white head. Tropical fruit aroma, with peach apricot caramel and then some late grassy notes in the taste. Very drinkable though a little overrated.

Keg @ CBC Clerkenwell. The pour’s deep amber with a large off-white head. Attractive beer. The nose is of raspberry jam, rich chewy malts, some harvest fruits. Big, expressive aromas. The taste is more bright, sugary raspberry and strawberry jam, hints of tobacco and wood. Nice bouncy caramel malts. Vibrant flavors. Medium body, active carbonation. Overall, really nice stuff.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear light brown with an off-white head. Smells of fruity hops. Sweet and dry with floral aromas of hops, caramel malts and some grapefruit. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Lovely hops profile - very well balanced with the malt notes.

Bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a clear dark red body with a sizable pillowy white head. So beautiful. :-) Nose is light strawberry tones, herbs and hints of grass. Fresh and nice. Taste is strawberry again, pine and red berries with hints of mint and pale malts. Soft and quite pleasant carbonation level, semi-slick mouthfeel. Simple and nice, yet very original. Definitely my favorite this far from 8 Wired.

Drought @ Mikkeller bar. Hazy deep reddish pour, off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, some pine. Flavor is bitter floral hops with some spicy thick malt base, nice balance. More like an IPA than an amber ale, but very nice.

dark amber color. Big hoppy character with solid caramel notes in the background. Dry. Fairly aggressive finish. Well balanced.

Bouteille.

Bottle @ home, shared with the gf. No matter how slow you pour it, a huge, dense, lasting white head will form. The head doesn’t shrink.. Im getting thirsty. The beer itself is hazy amber coloured. Smells some orange peel, hops, slightly sweet, slightly grapefruit, malts. Tastes mandarin, slightly chocolate, some hops, malts and even a bit roasty. Quite a special combination of flavours. Thin to medium body, soft carbo.
