3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ciaranc (388) - Dublin, - JAN 30, 2013Amber copper in the glass, head doesnt stick around. Caramel nose, with some doughy yeast and bready, toasty malt. More bready malt in the flavour, with some grapefruit and a little spice. Theres some sweetness hovering in the background which come more to the fore before the finish. Then its the hops turn to arrive, theres some nice understated bitterness to the finish. Lightish in body. Quite a lot of carbonation there, and the mouthfeel is quite sticky. Very drinkable.

Bottle shared by Dogbrick. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of malt, lager yeast and some caramel. Malty and caramelly flavor with lager yeast character before a light finish.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dantheman278 (1338) - SCOTLAND - MAR 2, 2013
Bottle at home. Clear dark copper, thick bubbly white head with thick lacing. Light fruits, metallic grain, slight spice, honey, thick cereals on the nose. Dry lager malts, touch of pine, honey sweetness on the finish and a surprising bitter linger.... Though as it opens up it improves, the metallic flavours go and there’s more of that lovely dry toasty character coming through. Still a little too bitter though. Very drinkable, if not perfect.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (6178) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 29, 2012
This brew pours an orange-amber color with a medium bubbly off-white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and slight hops. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, mildly bitter hops and a bit of fruit. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.
1.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 omhper (17558) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 25, 2012
Bottled, from The Drink Store, Dublin. With its hazy copper colour and rocky head it looks delicious. Unfortunately looks deceive. A pungent vinegar aroma is followed by a tart vinegary flavour and a downright sour finish. So, it doesn’t really matter that a well rounded malty body occasionally comes throught the sour haze, or that some noble hay like hops seem to lie on the perception horizon, almost lost in a black hole of infection.

Bottle. Medium orange with a frothy head. Aroma is sharp bitter hop. Flavour is quite bitter, fruity sharp, definately not a Marzen more an IPA.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 garthicus (2358) - Dublin, IRELAND - OCT 28, 2012
Appearance: Rusty brown/orange, small off white head. Aroma: grainy, biscuit, malty, grassy hops, a little sour. Flavour: Tangy malt, quite iron-y, biscuit, lots of grassy hops, long dry finish. Like someone said here, it’s nice but not my thing.

slight cloves on nose, orange, licorice, medium carbonation, doughy, marmalade, a bit thin bodied, booze, sweet, noble hop finish

Full bodied and sweet malty lager. Quite easy drinking for its strength but not my thing really. Some toffee, crunchy nut cornflakes and digestive biscuits. Brief finish.
