Pitch black pour with a khaki head. Nose is roasted pecan, light coffee, roasted malts, and dry. Nice palate, heavy pecan notes, dry, roasted malts, lightly sweet (probably the malts) and an easy finish.

tap at jacks- Pour is dark brown with a small light brown head.,.Nose is muddy grains, some roast, earth, musty. old dr.pepper...Taste is muddy,some roast, very faint pecan shells, musty, grain, dirt, nutty, light body, I didn’t get any pecan but more than an earthy dirty pecan shell..Tastes rushed

On tap at LUCK. Dark pour with a light brown head. Aroma is pecan ad vanilla. Taste is burnt toast, bitter, and overdone grain. Pecan sweetness in the finish.

Tap at Jack’s. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma and flavor have some nice nutty and chocolate notes as well as a bit of roasted malt and ash. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Tap at LUCK. Poirs a dark brown color with a ring of tan head. Aroma has a dark chocolate and malty note with a slight roast. Flavor is nutty and malty, dark bitter chocolate and slight sweet. Nice.

First to rate! Hah! On tap at LUCK in Dallas. Pours very dark, dark tan head. Smells very roasty with a hint of pecan. It's a sweet porter, but no sugary sweet. Slight pecan, just enough to taste. Great beer from my hometown!
