On tap at Archive Beer Boutique. Rating from December 2013. All round this was okay without being spectacular. Given that Lebanon is not renowned for its craft beer it is quite good.

Bottle at a local restaurant (the Moorís Head). Black with a small tan head thatís soon gone. Aroma of mocha and licorice. Rather thin, highish carbonation. Sweet with licorice, cola, cocoa. In date, but if there were lots of hops in here they left no trace.

Tap at a dark bar. Dark pour with half a finger of head. Licorice, burnt tire, dark caramel, espresso. Lighter than expected body. Slightly creamy and silky body throughout and a bit oily finish. Interesting but not my favorite

Pours black with a brown head. Aroma is malty, chocolate, roastiness, molasses and some spices. Taste is quite sweet with some roastiness leading to a sweet and lightly sweet finish. Not bad.

Slowbeer ontap (13-Sep-13) Light roasted sweet choc malt aroma. Lowish head and sheet lacing. Roaster light choc and pepper flavour. Bitter roast malt flavour and tangy roast malt pepper aftertaste.

Draught at Archive Beer Boutique, West End, Brisbane. Poured an opaque black colour with a few millimetres of light beige bubbly head that diminished quickly. Laced poorly. Aroma strongly of sweet molasses. Taste sweet and subtly smoky. Light body. Smooth, light and soft. Given the black stout like look, one expects a much heavier body so itís a bit unexpected to get a light mouthfeel. Different; worth a try.
