Bottle from trade with Cunningham, many thanks. Amber colored beer with small off-white head. Malt, caramel, mint, chamomile and other herbs in aroma. Taste, sweet malt, caramel, herbs (thyme, chamomile and others), some fruitiness. Herb bitter finish. Very unusual, but tasty, moreish beer. I would like taste more beers from this brewery.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Copper to amber color. Sweet spicy aroma with grassy thyme, eucalyptus and orange peel. Dryer flavor with plenty of thyme, grass and some biscuity notes in the background. Light to medium body. Thyme is on top and creates an impression of meat stew. Dominated by spices but in a pleasant way.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
pours clear golden orange with a small white cap, little retention, no lacing. spicy malts but mostly loads of other spices - loads of aggressive thyme and pepper, sage, a certain leafiness, even some astringent black tea, faint fruity and lightly toasted malts. average to soft carbonation, light body - oily, decent grassy-herbal finish. unbalanced. some new styles are just meant to vanish... for good reasons.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33l bottle. Crystal clear dark golden in color, some floaters floating about and it has a medium sized light bubbly and lacing just off-white head. Om the nose it’s quite spicy alright. Hard to tear the spices apart, but I get Christmasy cinnamon and cloves mainly. Perhaps also some soft fennel seeds in here as well? Quite nice on the aroma. It has a soft oily to watery mouthfeel with a small bubbly average carbonation level. Light spicy in the taste also, melon zest and a nice soft bitterness. I feel the cumin and coriander dominates. More light cinnamon and cloves, perhaps also a tone of grassy chutney. That makes no sense but this is quite a strange brew. All in all, easy drinkin’ and absolutely an alright one. Almost like drinking my homemade kebab.. 21.09.2012

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20

Bottle with a twist off cap. Pours dark golden with a big foamy white head. Aroma of spicy hops, malty body underneath. Taste is rich malty with a decent spicy addition, very soft and smooth palate, moderate sweet caramel lingering all the way. Tasty and moreish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Clear light orange body, small white head. Nose is oregano, thyme, mustard seeds, herbs and hints of pale malts. Holy Malony; it’s pizza time in this mutha! :-D Taste is chamomile, thyme, honey, pale malts and hints of grains and herbs. Light body, soft carbonation. Clean and lean, with pizza herbs going all out! Weird, original and somehow delightful.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a crystal clear medium amber body with a funny looking head that consists of an off-white, creamy base with lots of big soap bubble looking hemispheres. After quite some time the head reduces to a layer consisting of these big bubbles, some foam is left on the glass. The aroma is quite strong, pleasant and extremely herbal, with mint in front followed by camomile and other herbs that I find hard to identify. There are also some sweet caramel notes and hints of pale malts. The taste is light to moderate sweet with a moderate to light bitter finish that is surprisingly pleasant: I often find the bitterness of herbal beers a bit stinging and plant sap like. The flavour profile is dominated by the herbs, but here I get thyme as the main factor (I must admit that I say thyme just because I’ve read it on the label, it could as well be oregano). This is almost like drinking carbonated herbal tea! The tea analogy is also valid when it comes to the mouthfeel: the texture is a bit too watery. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation. A very fun beer, brewing with herbs is a good thing (and now I’m really looking forward to taste my own lemon balm IPA that right now is being bottle conditioned in my cellar)!
