COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
10’000 years in the making, the LPA marks the return home for beer. From the land where beer and human civilisation were born, comes a new brew that is a marriage between Western brewing tradition, Eastern complexities, and a sublime expression of the Lebanese Renaissance. It was inspired straight from the Lebanese spice markets. For decades there has been little choice in the diversity of Lebanese beers. This beer provides an alternative for the Lebanese population, with ingredients such as za’atar, sumac, mint, sage, anise, and chamomile. The use of such herbs and spices makes this distinctive craft brew truly Lebanese.

Bottled (Thanks Papsoe!). Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is pizzaspices, mild sweet malts as well as some mild grassy notes. Flavour is spices, some spices and even more spices. Also mild herbs. Very oregano like aftertaste.

Bottle from Slowbeer. Nice, different beer. Aromas of spice, wet leaves, and other herbs. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Bottle [330ml] shared with HogTownHarry & biegaman -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a small diminishing bubbly off-white head. Aroma of herbs and tomatoes (I’m sure it’s likely sage or some other herb though). Flavour of herbs and malt, it’s almost got a tomato sauce thing going, along with some hops. A tad watery. Average bodied. It’s O.K. but it’s not what I’m looking for in a Pale Ale.

330ml bottle c/o "B" - shared with blankboy and biegaman. Clear amberish gold, small head. Smells and tastes mostly like thyme and sage - pungent - simple, ultimately boring. Light body, mild carbonation, pungent aftertaste but ultimately not much of anything

Clear gold with a modest white head. Aroma is spicy with zaatar and sage obvious, some light honeyed malt. Mild sweetness with honey and some berries, dry finish with a little bitterness. A mouthfull of spices and floral herbs. Pleasant, competent and interesting.

New Beer Distributors, NY 11.2oz ($3): Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is light malts, with a flowery overtone with a whole bunch of spice added (I have no idea what za’atar is supposed to smell like, but I definitely got mint and sage notes in here, along with anise being the strongest). Taste is tealike with some anise. There is very little hoppiness. The spice works well with the malty backbone. A unique and drinkable beer.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a clear copper color, with a medium sized tan head. Aroma was some peppery, spicy notes - perhaps some thyme. Flavor was light malts, pepper notes. Interesting brew. Not exactly a straight pale ale.

Gyllene i färgen, vitt skum. Doftar örter, pizza, malt, sött, gräs och hö. Smakar söt malt, pizzaörter, lakrits, lagom söt och bitter örtig eftersmak. Konstig och lite obalanserad.
