3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours deep amber with a large head.
Smells like lebanese bread, with a massive thyme hit. There’s a little sweet malt underneath but lebanese bread is the perfect descriptor here.
Flavours follow along the same line but the herbs also add some astringency and medicinal notes. A metallic character works its way in too.
Nice idea, and the aroma is great but it doesn’t quite work. Perhaps if the base beer was maltier.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly crystal clear golden copper color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, lime, tangerine, apricot, chamomile, mint, tea, herbal, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of hops, spice, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, lime, tangerine, apricot, chamomile, mint, tea, herbal, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Light earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, apricot, tangerine, chamomile, mint, tea, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of hops, spices, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly creamy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good spiced pale ale style. All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of hops, spices, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Flaska på Printz.
Libanesisk hantverksöl, hur mäktigt?!
Klar bärnsten med lätt vitt skum.
Doftar kryddigt och lätt av dyvatten.
Ganska klen i smaken, men fruktig och kryddig.
Tunn i munkänslan.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Clear amber in color with a medium egg-white head that is mostly diminishing. Rather spicy nose - to me it seems like oregano and basil predominantly (neither of which are listed as ingredients), though sage and chamomile are also noticeable (which are indeed used). Flavor is a touch sweet as the spices take a backseat. The underlying malts are a touch anemic and bring flavors of a light sourdough bread. Overall, though, rather interesting - reminds me a bit of the much hated Pizza Beer - which I actually like and make a homebrewed version of myself. The malt base leaves much to be desired, however, and metallic notes in the finish are a bit off-putting. But still rather interesting. Here’s to my favorite (fictional) Lebonese, Maxwell Q. Klinger! (And thanks to Narnad for this bottle).

Clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp and semi dry. Wow! Picked this off the shelf without much thought and am pleasantly surprised! Sweet spices over mild malts. Floral tones and floral herbs. Mild mint. Running throughout is a mild to medium citrus. Smooth airy finish. Herby minty linger. Very interesting and flavoursome.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
well, i won’t lie - i bought this for the novelty of a Lebanese beer, a country whose brew I don’t believe I’ve had before. It has a sweet herbal aroma not exactly characteristic of "pale ale" but certainly not bad. spritzy and amber-colored with little to no head. difficult to distinguish individual spices, particularly those listed in the description but it’s an interesting combination and pleasant anyway. a little heavy in the finish but overall a decent brew from an emerging (?) beer market.

3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is a very distinctive beer that will not be to everyone’s taste. The herbs and spices are very powerful and so this beer will be best tasted with equally distinctive food.
The sage and mint come through first and then the anise and sumac. I didn’t get much camomile and the oregano (za’atar) is on the finish.
Delicious, but ultimately too weird to enjoy on its own as a refreshing beer, but with the right Middle Eastern dish this will really come into its own.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very interesting taste in this beer. The flavor reminds me of a middle eastern spice. Must be the sage because it’s sort of overpowering. Amber color and a thin white head makes this distinguishable from the standard swill that smaller nations tend to produce.
